Senior Manager, Risk And Control

Seeking an experienced Risk expert to join an innovative Financial Services organisation. Sydney based. Up to $180k + super + bonus.

Role Overview
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Compliance, this role is pivotal in developing, supporting, and maintaining the organisations risk management framework. This is an opportunity to put your stamp on a broad role working with excellent and highly regarded leadership.
Responsibilities include:

• Provide advice on risk mitigation and control strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Support the development and implementation of the Risk Management Framework, fostering a strong risk management culture across the business.
• Work with management to produce clear and concise reports to exec leadership and the board.
• Lead a key strategic risk uplift project, conducting risk profiling, identify key risk and emerging risk trends with the view to embed this into each business area.
• Assist in the implementation of a new risk system (Protecht)
• Evaluate adequacy of current controls, making recommendations for improvements.
• Provide timely reviews and analysis of risk incidents an issues

You

• Ideally 5-8+ years of experience in a line 1 or 2 Operational risk role within the financial services industry.
• Strong knowledge of financial services industry processes and regulations.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities, analytical mindset, and organisational skills.
• Calm and professional nature, collaborative, high attention to detail, highly developed written, presentation, and communication skills.
• Bachelor's degree in law, business administration, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
