Catch is currently seeking a Risk and Compliance Lead to support the Division's Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance by reviewing and coordinating changes to website and marketing content to ensure compliance with various laws related to advertising, including but not limited to the Australian Consumer Law, and support advertising compliance through developing processes to achieve the Division's compliance aims.

The role will also support the risk management framework and will be responsible for implementing strategies. It will also involve developing and leading processes and procedures to identify and manage both strategic and operational risks and opportunities at a business and division level.

What you'll be doing

Compliance

  • Review and provide feedback on compliance for all marketing materials, including digital channels (e.G. EDM's, social media posts, radio, commercials etc.).
  • Identify and address non-compliance on OnePass and Catch websites.
  • Ensure accuracy and legal substantiation of RRP and price comparison on the Catch website.
  • Owner of the Catch and OnePass Guidelines for Advertising Compliance requirements, ensuring continual update of the guidelines and communication of updates to the first line teams
  • Assist with trade promotion lotteries, permits, and terms and conditions templates.
  • Develop and implement compliance training for relevant teams, follow up on non-completions, and maintain training records.
  • Design and implement compliance management processes aligned with business strategy.
  • Identify and manage new compliance obligations and legislative changes and implement relevant policies and procedures.

Governance

  • Manage the Catch Risk, Compliance and Privacy Meetings
  • Administer and implement the Governance Risk &
    Compliance software system
  • Maintain Fundraiser Registration, Liquor License and any other Regulatory Licenses.
  • Maintain the Policy register and policy governance framework.Undertake policy reviews based on the prescribed frequency within each policy, with a particular focus on anti-bribery, Whistleblower, Risk Management and Compliance Management.
  • Develop and implement a regulatory change management program to provide ongoing oversight of key regulatory changes
  • Maintain watching brief of actual and proposed legislative change affecting advertising and perform impact assessments
  • Ensure processes are assessed and amended to reflect legislative change requirements

Reporting and Issues Management

  • Maintain weekly statistic reports of compliance event submissions and levels of compliance
  • Prepare regular compliance reporting to Catch LT and OneDigital management forums
  • Develop regular risk management reporting for Catch and OneDigital LT
  • Assist with preparing reports for the Audit, Risk and Compliance Meetings
  • Maintain the incident register, legislative change register, regulator contact register and business-wide gift register.
  • Assist the Head of Risk, Compliance and Assurance to complete investigations into alleged compliance breaches to determine cause of issue or breach, obtaining legal advice from Legal Counsel as necessary.
  • Develop a breach identification and assessment process which outlines processes related to identification, assessment, management and reporting of compliance related breaches across the Division
  • Assist with completion of anti-bribery assessments / audits for suppliers to ensure compliance with the Anti-Bribery Policy.

Risk Management

  • Develop and implement processes and procedures that identify and manage current and emerging risks across the Division
  • Facilitation of business unit risk reviews, including conducting workshops as required to assist identification of business risks (hands-on)
  • Ensure timely escalation of key risks to inform business decision making
  • Gather data, prepare, socialise and finalise the Annual Risk Review documentation for Wesfarmers
  • Follow up risk control actions and track to completion
  • Work with the Division to ensure that the businesses are operating within risk appetite.
  • Maintain the risk resilience framework for the Division and supporting systems to ensure continued operation of essential functions during critical incident
  • Assist with the implementation of the business resilience systems and processes to sustainably enable the delivery of the corporate and operational objectives
  • Work with Technology and other enabling functions to ensure the Business Resilience Framework is fit for purpose
  • Lead the ongoing development, review and implementation of the crisis management planning processes and procedures to mitigate impact of incidents on people, assets and the environment;
  • Delivery of the Crisis Management Plan (CMP) training and exercising to ensure the company is "
    Crisis ready"

  • Maintain the information within the CMT and BCP software

What you will need to be successful

  • Minimum 5-8 years of experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of the legal and regulatory environment in the retail industry
  • Practical experience in designing, resourcing and implementing risk management frameworks and assurance programs
  • Demonstrated experience in leading, managing and coordinating an organisation's Crisis Management function
  • Detailed knowledge of Australian consumer law compliance requirements
  • Ability to work with ambiguity and to develop creative, commercially viable solutions to business problems.
  • Strong process focus
  • Strong written, verbal and presentational communication skills, including ability to communicate complex messages simply to a variety of people across the Group at different levels
  • Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • Business and Commercial Acumen - Understands the strategic goals but is also able to work with a great attention to detail and has the ability to think commercially when reviewing business issues. Keeps up to date with legal, regulatory, market and technological developments.
  • Engages with Risk - Ensures that risks &
    compliance issues are identified and managed effectively. Seeks guidance and advice when required.
