About the opportunity
The
Head of School, School of Project Management is a member of the Dean's Executive Committee and chairs the School Executive Committee.
This position contributes to the overall faculty strategy and goals and is responsible for setting, communicating and achieving faculty goals and strategies at school level.
The Head of School is responsible for research and education strategy at school level, including curriculum design and delivery, resourcing, talent management and external engagement for the school, and for ensuring alignment of the School with Faculty objectives, university policies and external standards.
The position is responsible for the long term strategy and oversight of school budget and expenditure and is accountable for the financial sustainability of the school.
The Head of School demonstrates and enables the values of the university in relation to its people and culture.
The position is responsible for the School's teaching and research outcomes, maintaining accreditation standards, improving the student experience, and meeting financial targets.
The position has formal financial and people delegations and is responsible for effective decision making to ensure financial sustainability.
The successful applicant will lead the recruitment, appointment, development and retention of talented staff who are able to attract and develop talented students.
The successful applicant will also help to promote the School's, the Faculty's and the University's reputation for excellence and its national and international academic standing.

The successful applicant must have a wide network of established relationships with key academic, industry and professional institutions, partners and stakeholders, that can be leveraged to enhance the standing of the school, the faculty and the university.
