Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the Vice President of Commercial, the Director of Revenue Management plays a pivotal role in shaping our financial performance by optimizing revenue strategies across all properties and channels. This position requires strategic leadership in developing and executing revenue management strategies, fostering a high-performance team, and collaborating closely with Commercial and Operations Leaders.
Key Responsibilities:
As part of our dynamic team, you'll:
- Develop and implement comprehensive revenue management strategies aligned with business objectives and market conditions.
- Lead and mentor a team of in-sourced and out-sourced revenue specialists, promoting a collaborative and results-driven culture.
- Ensure effective pricing structures and optimization across all market segments and revenue streams.
- Drive portfolio performance metrics including RevPAR, RGI, and budget growth targets.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate revenue strategies and performance effectively.
- Oversee revenue management setup and systems for new hotel openings to achieve rapid profitability and market share.
- Manage reporting and analytics for revenue management team and distribution channels.
- Analyze market trends and the competitive landscape to identify areas of opportunity and develop action plans to improve revenue outcomes.
- Lead forecasting and annual budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and timely communication.
- Understand and employ a complex suite of revenue management systems and tools to enhance data analysis and decision making.
- Recommend appropriate system enhancements and facilitate the installation, migration or implementation of same.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy within all revenue management systems.
- Influence reservations, sales, and marketing strategies based on demand forecasts to achieve revenue goals.
- Generate and present detailed reports on hotel performance to internal and external stakeholders.
What we're looking for:
- Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of team development in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
- Experience in leading revenue management for a portfolio of hotels and a deep understanding of the Australian and New Zealand hospitality industry.
- Expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and revenue optimization techniques.
- Experience within major hotel chains in Australia and New Zealand is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proficiency in revenue management systems (e.G., iDeas, Duetto, Synxis) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a Revenue Management leadership role in the hotel industry.
