The opportunity:


The Head of Reporting &
Insights will be responsible for the delivery of enterprise performance reporting and building a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in business intelligence and insights for the enterprise.

The Head of Reporting &
Insights will lead a high performing team of reporting and data specialists, building a CoE that can evolve as the enterprise continues to invest in its data and analytics capability.

As such, this role is a key contributor to and will execute on the Enterprise Performance, Reporting and Insights strategic plan.

This role will have accountability for ensuring that reporting is prioritized to meet internal customer, Retail and Group distribution partner and external regulatory requirements.


To do this successfully you will:

  • Define the Reporting &
    Insights team's vision,purpose and strategy in alignment with the Enterprise Performance &
    Reporting function
  • Develop and implement an integrated reporting framework, that aligns with AIA's governance processes and policies
  • Accountable for regulatory reporting, including continuously improving processes to ensure efficiency and reliability of data
  • Working with the Business Performance Managers to educate business stakeholders on report interpretation and analysis
  • Contribute to the prioritisation process for key data and reporting initiatives
  • In conjunction with the Enterprise Risk &
    Compliance Team, ensurerisk assessments are considered and mitigated on key strategic data &
    reporting initiatives.
  • In conjunction with senior leaders, coordinate the activities and communications associated with cascading the information associated with reporting and infrastructure changes
  • Preparation and presentation of business intelligence and analytics reports for business consumption
  • Preparation and presentation of material to facilitate Board and Group reporting requirements
  • In conjunction with the Business Performance Managers, support the enterprise strategic planning process and longterm goals including making recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners and internal business process improvement
  • Conduct organisational reviews to identify strengths and weaknesses and to evaluate operational effectiveness of reporting function
  • Providing high quality research and analysis using appropriate business and modelling tools, supported by effective communication at a high level.
  • Responsibility for leading the team and prioritising work to ensure the delivery of the business and regulatory reporting requirements, driving a culture of agility and team work to ensure we can adapt to changing business requirements.
  • Build resilience within the team by implementing agile ways of working and removing singlepoint sensitivity across the team
  • Build a positive team culture with high engagement across the team
  • 10+ years experience in data analytics &
    visualisation
  • Expert knowledge of the key drivers of the individual and group life markets, and good knowledge of the health and retirement in Australia markets is highly regarded
  • Leadership of multilayered teams in complex and fast paced environments
  • Excellent knowledge of and experience in Data &
    Information Management
  • Strong capability with dashboard tools like Tableau, Microsoft Power BI
