As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources using Azure Synapse. Developing scalable and re-usable frameworks for ingesting of data sets Integrating the end-to-end data pipeline - to take data from source systems to target data repositories ensuring the quality and consistency of data is always maintained.


The Senior Data Engineer will also be responsible for coaching and mentoring less experienced team members to build their capability.

What you'll do

  • Design and develop Azure cloud data products (Data warehousing, data integrations, dashboards etc.) to enhance data services.
  • Gather, document, and clarify requirements;
    design solutions;
    develop code using Microsoft BI stacks;
    test and support UAT;
    monitor product functionality.
  • Improve the data product development and support process through automation, including access requests, data refreshes, releases, source control, and knowledge management.
  • Ensure functional and non-functional quality through data profiling, automated and manual tests, and performance testing.

What we're looking for

  • Advanced knowledge of a modern data application, Data Modelling and ETL.
  • Experience in Data Lake Storage, ADLS, Synapse Dataflows and Pipeline for ETLS's
  • Knowledge in Azure Services - Sql for ODS, Key Vault, Delta Lake and Azure Functions preferably on Python/PySpark.
  • Proven experience in Log analytics, Log Monitoring, PowerBI for reporting Azure DevOps with Terraforms, Data bricks for analytics Logic Apps.
  • Good to have knowledge in Informatica Power Center and related products.
  • Experience creating data integration solutions.
  • Experience in Logical and Physical Data Modelling, including dimensional, relational, and flat-file data structures.
  • Fluent in SQL, Kimball or Inmon Datawarehouse modelling techniques.
  • Relational database experience (preferably MS SQL Server).
