Overview:

Our Engineering Manager, is looking for a Senior Software Engineer with solid Javascript/Typescript skills to join our team. It is an exciting time for our Wollongong-based engineering team as we grow to meet the market demand for our product offering across Europe.
The role:
-
As a Senior Software Engineer, your role is primarily focused on leading the design and development of innovative BNPL products that are simplistic yet scalable to meet the needs of our customers and clients.
Key responsibilities:
-
- Write clean, well-designed RESTful APIs to enrich our service-payer application.
- Help to innovate and solve complex problems.
- Contribute to the development of the Scalapay core services.
- Troubleshoot, test and automate to ensure high quality and optimisation.
- Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle.
You'll be great for this role:
If you're passionate about solve complex problems, have a solid background in software engineering with a focus on best practice and working with the latest cloud technologies.
- 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
- Solid professional experience in JavaScript and Typescript.
- Hands-on experience with the AWS platform.
- Robust knowledge of Node.Js and Nest.Js
- Exposure to React and front end technologies
- Proficiency in working with both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Demonstrated passion for adhering to best practices in software design and coding.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Hold Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency Status
Nice to have:

- You've previously worked in a startup/scaleup environment
- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (BuildKite and Bitbucket)
- Knowledge of event driven architecture
- Knowledge of serverless framework
