We are seeking an entrepreneurial Product Manager to spearhead Practice Intelligence, a new initiative at Karbon. This role involves building data-powered products from scratch, conducting market analysis, designing systems to improve data quality and availability, and creating scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate is passionate about data and data-powered products and is ready to take on this unique opportunity with high autonomy in our rapidly-growing organization.

This role will also have exposure in shaping the future of our AI-driven initiatives, leveraging data from various sources to enhance our product suite. The ideal candidate will have a passion for AI and data, with the ability to devise strategic roadmaps for data usage, design effective data systems, and build scalable data pipelines. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute significantly to our AI capabilities, driving innovation and growth in our rapidly evolving organization.

Qualities we are looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience in a Product Management role, delivering high-quality solutions.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for building great products that meet customer needs.
  • Experience working on SaaS apps targeting businesses or consumers.
  • Strong team player able to establish rapport, credibility, and trust throughout the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with a desire to understand user behavior and success metrics.
  • Experience translating customer questions into data problems, partnering with engineers, data scientists, designers, and customers to ensure data products are accurate, actionable, and useful.
  • Deep empathy for users with varying data literacy levels, and the ability to present compelling, accessible data narratives.

What you will do:

  • Oversee the entire product development and marketing life cycle of Karbon's Practice Intelligence product.
  • Develop an expert understanding of accounting firms' needs and the data required to drive efficiency and growth.
  • Identify and address customer needs, working in synergy with engineers and designers to devise a strategic product roadmap.
  • Collaborate with sales and Go-To-Market (GTM) teams to drive revenue growth and take ownership of personal revenue contributions.
  • Improve data quality and availability by building highly reliable and scalable data pipelines, leveraging experience in ETL/ELT processes, data infrastructure, and dimensional modeling.
  • Contribute to AI capabilities by understanding how models are enhanced by well-structured private data.
  • Champion the collection, storage, and retrieval of platform data, partnering closely with stakeholders to answer impactful data questions.
