• Java and SQL Skills:
  Must have strong experience (5 years or more) in Java backend coding and working with relational databases using SQL.
• DevOps Knowledge:
  Understanding of DevOps principles, methodologies, and automation, with the ability to code.
• Distributed Computing Proficiency:
  Familiarity with distributed computing principles and knowledge of key data architectures and technologies.
• Architecture and Design Expertise:
  Extensive experience designing secure, complex applications across different data sources and multi-cloud platforms.
• Cloud Platform Familiarity:
  Proven experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and the ability to drive results using relevant technologies and methods.
• Agile Communication:
  Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in an Agile environment.
• Workload Migration and Infrastructure Automation:
  Experience with Workload Migration Automation Tools and Infrastructure as Code (e.G., Terraform, Puppet, Ansible).
• Containerization and Microservices:
  Knowledge and skills in containerization, orchestration, and building microservices.
• CI/CD Tools Proficiency:
  Familiarity with continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) tools like Jenkins.
• Software Configuration Management:
  Knowledge of software configuration management tools such as JIRA and Git.
• Open Attitude and Ownership:
  Most importantly, having an open attitude, willingness to learn and collaborate, and taking ownership and responsibility for tasks.

OPTIONAL/NICE TO HAVE

Experience in the following areas is an asset:

• Knowledge of Tableau is a plus
• Data Studio and other data visualization technologies
• Google Professional Cloud Architect/Data Engineer certification
• Experience and knowledge in the Equities or Securities Financing domain is a plus, but not mandatory.
