Our client is seeking a Senior Finance Business Partner to join their team in Dandenong. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with the local commercial team, providing critical and relevant financial information for decision-making;
covering historical, current and future performance. The successful candidate will drive improvements in reporting and measurement to support operational excellence and business results, provide support and direction to global product support and R&
D projects. This role also supports the international Finance department on cost initiatives and strategic projects.
What you'll do:
As a Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be part of the local management team and play an instrumental role in providing management with crucial financial information that aids in decision-making. You will prepare comprehensive financial plans that align with future business strategies. Your role will involve performing fixed cost controlling activities while continuously improving current ways of working. You will develop investment proposals that support growth while monitoring key financial metrics such as profitability, cost, working capital and cash flow. Your ability to develop and lead by measurable KPIs will be essential in achieving both short-term and long-term goals.
- Provide management with financial information and business review and analysis for planning, budgeting, decision making and controlling
- Prepare financial plans and estimates of future business plans, budget and strategy
- Perform fixed cost controlling activities and analyse monthly cost centre performance
- Improve current ways of working, tools, methods and processes
- Develop investment proposals to support growth and operational improvement
- Monitor profitability, cost, working capital and cash flow development
- Develop and track KPIs to deliver short-term and long-term goals
- Support sales, project delivery and other functions in specific financial matters
- Participate in finance projects at company level
- Ensure that adequate controls are in place for the business
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Finance Business Partner role will bring a wealth of experience in high-level financial business partnering roles. You will have a relevant academic degree and ideally, a CPA or CA qualification. Your experience in manufacturing companies or similar industries within a global business environment will be highly valued. You will demonstrate strong capabilities in using finance tools, ideally with experience in SAP. A good understanding of IFRS, local GAAP and tax regulations will be key.
- Relevant academic degree in finance, accounting or business
- CPA or CA qualification is desirable
- 8+ years experience in high level financial roles
- Experience in manufacturing companies or similar industries in a global business environment
- Strong capability in use finance tools including SAP
- Good understanding of IFRS (especially revenue recognition), local GAAP and tax regulations
- Experience in international business and matrix organisation
