Snapshot of your new day-to-day
- Prepare and coordinate high quality and accurate tender proposals and submissions
- Source and collate supplier and contractor quotes
- Develop relationships with clients, designers, architects, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors
- Review, develop and maintain accurate and up to date cost information
- Attend tender interviews and take the lead as required
- Liaise with project teams and prepare project schedules
- Mentor and grow other Estimators to be the best they can be
- Preparation of construction budgets for handover to the construction team
- Help continually improve our estimating processes and systems
Foundation for your success in the role
- Genuine passion for the Construction industry and Estimating
- Tertiary qualified in Construction Management or a related discipline / equivalent experience
- Extensive experience in a Senior Estimator role working across multiple projects, ideally in Tier 1 &
2 builders - Proven background on medium-to-large new construction projects
- High level of proficiency with CostX and Estimate One
- Well versed with preliminaries costing
- Sound understanding of construction systems and methodologies and the ability to demonstrate this to clients
- Strong experience in building and maintaining relationships built on trust and authenticity
- Able to juggle multiple priorities and context switch quickly
- Experience mentoring junior team members
- A strong team focus, and highly motivated
