Senior Estimator - Residential Building Company

The Opportunities:

Our award-winning and highly established home building client due to continued growth are looking to hire an experienced senior home building estimator.
Key Responsibilities of the Production Estimating portion of the role:

• Provide and produce an accurate bill of quantities and purchase orders
• Accurate estimates of jobs including variations
• Produce accurate construction budgets and orders that are clearly documented within budgeted time frames.
• Obtain relevant quotes and pricing
• Offer technical support to team members
• Complete set tasks and achieve job targets
• Maintain organised files and appropriate documentation of completed work
• Utilise estimating systems to the full capacity to ensure job/time efficiencies
• Checking construction related documentations
• Estimating the job from start to finish
• Sending out orders for the job
• Actioning Variations
• Provide support to Construction/Admin team

Key Responsibilities of the Sales Estimating portion of the role:

• Reporting to the Estimating Manager
• Prepare tender documentation for client presentation
• Quality checks of all documentation
• Ensure variations are completed with high levels of accuracy and within company standards.
• All documentation is compliant with guidelines and satisfy building codes and regulations.
• High levels of accuracy and quality in quotes and costings.
• Liaise with Sales consultants to provide accurate tenders
• Liaise with design/colour consultants to provide upgrade Studio pricing
• Preparation of Contract Inclusions and post contract variations

Role Requirements:

• A minimum of 3 years production and sales estimating experience with a home building company
• Must have townhouse estimating experience
• Must have experience with Databuild and On-Site Companion
• Strong time management and organisational skills
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment
• A proven track record within the home building industry
• Strong team player
• Ableto meet deadlines
