An exciting temporary opportunity is now available for a Senior Engineer (Civil) to join our Asset Management Team on the Gold Coast.

In the role of Senior Engineer (Civil), you will conduct geometric assessments of our road network for oversized vehicles use through the provision of professional technical advice to inform decision making related to heavy vehicles travelling on the state-controlled road network.

Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Co-ordinate and supervise relevant activities to meet Heavy Vehicle Access team and heavy vehicle permit objectives, to ensure successful delivery in a timely and professional manner while maintaining within legislative timelines, and that conditions of approval to ameliorate these impacts are established and monitored.
- Provide technical capability and direction to ensure that traffic impacts are minimised and are compatible with existing and future road transport infrastructure for proposed development, access and ancillary work.
- Ensure all quality management procedures are adhered to in order to facilitate the delivery of improved and consistent data conditions reporting information to HV permit holders and industry that meet fit for purpose solutions to complex technical issues.
- Manage and maintain effective liaison and communication with all levels of internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to transport infrastructure delivery activities and compliance with relevant heavy vehicle permit requirements.
- Maintain and apply all relevant standards, policies, guidelines and legislative requirements necessary for heavy vehicle permit processing tasks and on all aspects of network signalised and unsignalised intersections, active traffic management systems and network performance of road infrastructure projects.

The position reports to the Principal Engineer (Civil) and has no direct reports.
