Senior Business Analyst

Work for a large FMCG client as a Senior Business Analyst in Sydney.

Role Overview:

This position serves to facilitate communication between business and technology stakeholders to ensure the delivery of business requirements, which drive changes to business processes, policies, or systems. The primary aim is to ensure that the delivered solution aligns with the business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, technology product owners, engineers, architects, and the project team to provide conceptualization, feasibility analysis, and functional/non-functional requirements for initiatives.
• Elicit, analyze, communicate, and validate requirements for changes to business systems, processes, and policies, including As-Is, To-Be, and Gap Analysis.
• Conduct data gathering and analysis.
• Quality assurance of proposed solutions and test scenarios.
• Assist in testing and deployments.
• Develop business and support processes.
• Create Business-As-Usual (BAU) handover documentation, including Runbooks, RACI, and Knowledge Articles.

Role-Specific Requirements:

• Proficiency in IT infrastructure, encompassing servers/VMs, switches, operating systems, databases, Active Directory, access management, networking, and security.
• Experience with retail store-related devices such as POS terminals, weigh scales, cameras, temperature gauges, and similar equipment is advantageous.

Required Skills:

• Proficient in analysis, documentation, and communication (both written and verbal), including the ability to conduct workshops and assertively convey ideas.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple streams of work simultaneously.

• Proficiency in preparing test scripts/cases and conducting testing.

• Excellent time management, negotiation, conflict resolution, and teamwork skills.

Career Experience:

• Minimum of 4 years' experience as a Business Analyst.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in a similar-sized environment.
• Experience in retail is desirable.
• Experience in infrastructure projects is desirable.
• Overall knowledge of infrastructure (hosting, networking, access management, etc.) is advantageous.
• Collaboration with diverse business stakeholders to influence solutions.
• Tertiary qualifications in Business, Science, Engineering, or Economics are preferred.
