How will I help?

As a Senior Business Analyst, you will plan the approach, define scope, estimate, and monitor progress on business analysis activities. You will be part of Westpac's Digital &
CF line of business anda member of the App &
Online team which is responsible for building app and online capabilities including safe and secure data-sharing and data ingestion capabilities using Open Banking - Consumer Data Right (CDR) and Digital ID - Trusted Digital Identity Framework (TDIF).

You will drive the achievement of Westpac's strategy by leading the definition, elicitation, prioritisation and validation of requirements and design of business processes to meet the needs of the organisation. You will also maintain effective engagement with Product Owners, team members, and stakeholders ensuring that the recommended solution is aligned to the targeted business outcomes.

What do I need?

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • 5-10 years' experience in the Banking or Financial Services industry, with solid Consumer and Business Banking knowledge
  • Strong communication skills to comfortably deal with, and influence stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Agile methodology and tools such as JIRA and Confluence
  • Strong understanding of banking products and systems
  • Strong data analysis skills including advanced MS Excel
  • Experience in regulatory and compliance programs partnering closely with legal, risk &
    compliance, as well as the confidence in turning legal / policy documents into requirements
  • Experience with CDR ecosystem, or AP+ and advantage
  • Ability to analyse data standards and develop clear requirements and comprehensive user stories for API, information security, and authorisation development

What will I be responsible for?

  • Business Analysis Planning &
    Monitoring:
    plan how to approach the business analysis effort
  • Strategy Analysis:
    identify the business needs through problem/opportunity definition and analysis;
    define feasible solution scope
  • Requirements Lifecycle Management:
    manage and maintain requirements through changes, conflicts, and issues
  • Elicitation and Collaboration:
    work with stakeholders to elicit requirements and understand stakeholder needs and concerns;
    collaborate and communicate with business units and project teams
  • Requirements Analysis and Design Definition:
    define, refine, prioritise, and organise requirements;
    model requirements, processes, and designs
  • Solution Evaluation:
    assess and validate proposed, in progress and implemented solutions
  • Risk Impact Analysis:
    ensure that Risks, Assumptions, and Dependencies are captured and managed in accordance with Business Controls &
    Monitoring framework
  • BA Craft:
    Contribute to the Digital Agile Delivery sub chapter activities. Train, coach and mentor fellow BAs to share knowledge and learning with the BA community to grow capability within Digital
