About Our Client
We are pleased to support one of Canberra's leading personal injury and human rights litigation firms to appoint a Senior Associate into the team to advise across a healthy portfolio of personal injury matters. The firm is driven by offering solution focused, empathetic and considerate legal advice helping their clients through challenging circumstances. The Partners have developed a highly regarded position in the market and are experts at what they do.
Job Description
- Supporting and working with members of the team including the Partners, Solicitors and Barristers.
- Preparing, reviewing and working on Court and other legal documents.
- Proactive file management.
- Meeting with and speaking to clients via face to face, Zoom and telephone.
- Appearing in Courts and Tribunals across Australia.
- Travelling across Australia and internationally to work with clients of the firm from time to time.
The Successful Applicant
You will ideally have:
- Minimum 5 years PQE, preferably in personal injury litigation (defendant or plaintiff) or other areas of litigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Displaying initiative in identifying and proposing solutions to challenges.
- Strong time management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Well organised with an attention to detail.
- Ability to work well both independently and in a team.
