Permanent Full Time - 80 hours per fortnight

This is an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified nurse or allied health professional to join a progressive team at MDHS! In this role, you will assist multi-disciplinary clinical and non-clinical teams in their efforts to improve and deliver safe, effective, person-centred care to patients and families. This will include the implementation of key deliverables to ensure that all patients are provided with care aligned to best practice principles, relevant legislative requirements and the various related standards and their application to the provision of care, across all MDHS services.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

  • Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional currently registered with the Australian Health Practitioner's Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in the public health care industry
  • Post graduate qualification, and/or relevant training and experience with the application of improvement science methodologies and/or project management
  • Experience in change management and success in implementing organisational improvement initiatives to meet desired goals
  • Knowledge of and demonstrated practice with applying accreditation standards, including but not limited to the National Safety and Quality Health Care Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards

Technical/Professional Knowledge and skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams in order to lead and drive improvement initiatives
  • Strong influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to lead change management activities to successful outcomes
  • Demonstrated experience leading quality improvement initiatives, using systems thinking approaches and data to inform performance against project goals and identify opportunities for improvement
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and demonstrated experience in developing detailed reports
  • Proven ability to positively engage with consumers and facilitate co-designing opportunities to achieve solutions which meet consumer needs
  • Excellent time management skills and demonstrated experience in managing multiple competing priorities while meeting timelines and ensuring high quality work output
  • Demonstrates initiative and innovation in supporting organisational quality improvement projects/activities
  • Ability to accept direction as well as work independently to achieve outcomes
