  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in governance or risk management (business process and finance controls) in a multinational organization.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in finance/accounting, with a proven track record of success in fast-paced, international settings.
  • Motivated team player with excellent presentation skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and expertise in navigating cross-border complexities and governance requirements.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, adept at influencing senior leaders and driving cross-functional initiatives.

About the job

Our high-performing finance and accounting team at Google is seeking experienced, motivated professionals to manage core accounting functions and drive governance across diverse markets. As a key team member, you'll thrive in a dynamic, collaborative environment, identifying and mitigating risks, optimizing processes, and strengthening internal controls. You'll collaborate with global and regional teams, driving cross-functional initiatives, and continuously improving existing processes to support Google's business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Set and drive the overarching strategy for how Google manages governance and risk at the market level.
  • Develop a comprehensive framework that ensures market-level risks and issues receive appropriate oversight and escalation to regional and global stakeholders.
  • Lead the implementation of this framework, ensuring its adoption and effectiveness across all relevant market and regional teams.
  • Partner with internal teams to influence and create a coordinated approach to define, enhance, and maintain governance processes on an international scale.
  • Educate and equip leaders across various functions to effectively oversee market-level activities and manage risks.
