About the role:
As part of a regulated monopoly infrastructure business, you will be adept at finding innovative customer solutions that drives sound business development outcomes for the Aurizon Network business.

Customer and externally orientated, you will have the opportunity to work with every part of the Aurizon business, supporting the commercial management of infrastructure projects and developing new business opportunities. Working with Aurizon Network's and customers, you will:

  • Build, maintain and enhance strategic relationships across with customers and prospective customers.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and consultation both internally and externally.
  • Conduct effective negotiations of contracts and commercial arrangements and, assist in the commercial implementation of those contracts as required.
  • Communicate customer requirements, issues, and opportunities to interdependent teams.
  • Assist in developing, drafting, and implementing proposals and relevant business cases.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute customer account management plans and engagement strategies, including negotiating and securing new business opportunities.
  • Identify and lead strategic &
    process improvement projects.

About you:

  • Strong track record of delivering results through others in the right way.
  • Highly resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure and handle competing demands.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in developing and maintaining close working relationships with potential customers.
  • Strong ability to develop, negotiate and deliver commercial contracting arrangements, as they relate to large and complex transport operations, with an ability to provide clear instruction to legal specialists.
  • Customer centric mindset with high level skills in the identification, specification and delivery of infrastructure projects in a large commercial organisation.
  • Sound financial literacy and commercial acumen with the capacity to analyse data.
  • Skilled in presenting business concepts and proposals to senior management.
  • Experience in an infrastructure, utility or rail logistics business, and / or exposure to a regulated commercial environment will be highly regarded.
