The Planning Director (Media) will be responsible for fostering and delivering the best in class planning product for our clients.

In the addressable era, the dynamics of growth are changing and new marketing economics are emerging. The Planning Director will be tasked with delivering our best in class planning output continues to meet the changing market and client needs in our quest for effectiveness.

At CHEP the planning team are the architects of how a brand idea will be delivered across a communications ecosystem in order to unlock the behaviour change that drives brand growth. Planners are experts in creating connected communications experiences that spread. They work with strategy and creative partners to translate the idea into tactics and brand experiences across paid, owned and earned encounters.

The role is to act as the thread that connects all the best bits of CHEP Networks specialisms to build a stronger planning outcome.

Responsibilities

As Planning Director you'll be a trusted advisor on all thing's media planning to clients as well as internal teams. Providing leadership to deliver a cohesive, proactive approach to planning and problem solving which helps our clients grow.

  • Works closely with the client teams and agency planning leaders to ensure that the product delivered to clients is truly best in class - the planning recommendation as well as the solution.
  • Work hand in glove with specialists across the CHEP network including technology, data, strategy and creative to deliver a cohesive and connected product.
  • Become an agency leader in implementing the use of our proprietary planning tool Omni.
  • Contribute to increasing the visibility of the CHEP planning product through thought leadership and innovative thinking.
  • Foster a culture of critical thinking amongst planners and the broader agency.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage the broader network and portfolio of services to proactively impact client's business.
  • Participate in the planning responses for key media pitches.

  • Possess an expert understanding and ability to apply relevant marketing science, consumer psychology, behavioural economics and macro-economic influences and trends.
  • The ability to harness strategy and creativity to realise new ideas, new solutions and new realities.
  • Interpreting data to develop game changing insights.
  • High level knowledge using industry tools to drive effective planning recommendations.
  • Proven experience identifying and executing organic growth opportunities.
