In this pivotal role as Manager Training Advisory, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of our training and development strategy, fostering connections across the organisation that empower our teams to thrive.

Here's what you'll do:

  • Lead a team to partner with leaders and training teams across Queensland Rail, providing expert advice and developing contemporary training initiatives that meet our capability and competency needs.
  • Develop and drive the Training and Development strategy, ensuring our learning programs align with business objectives and maximize leader impact.
  • Lead and manage key stakeholders, acting as the bridge between the business and our training and development function.
  • Work collaboratively and explore innovative solutions that meet future skills training needs across diverse client functions.
  • Create an engaged and high-performing team that rises to the challenge, while demonstrating excellence in customer service and collaboration.

To thrive in this role, you'll bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of training and development principles, frameworks, and legislation, with a passion for creating engaging learning experiences.
  • A strong understanding of how training supports delivery of business objectives, with the ability to translate strategy into actionable solutions.
  • Exceptional communication, consultation, and negotiation skills to build and maintain strong relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to build a motivated and high-performing team.
  • The ability to identify and solve complex future skills training and development challenges, ensuring all needs are met.
