Our client is seeking a highly motivated Manager - Financial Services to join their team on a contract (1 June 2024 - 31 January 2025). This role offers the opportunity to play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for their subsidiaries.
What you'll do:
- Oversee the preparation of statutory accounts for 50+ subsidiaries, leading a dedicated offshore team.
- Ensure adherence to timelines and deliver high-quality financial statements.
- Act as the key liaison between various stakeholders, including auditors, company secretary, and legal teams.
- Manage and resolve reporting issues, keeping all key personnel informed.
- Participate in the review of final financial statements and contribute to continuous process improvement.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- 5+ years of experience in statutory financial reporting and regulatory reporting (APRA and others).
- Strong understanding of financial and accounting concepts, standards, and financial products/systems.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal) and stakeholder management skills.
- Tertiary qualification and CA/CPA designation or equivalent experience.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a virtual team effectively.
- Proficiency in data analysis, problem-solving, and financial spreadsheeting.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Bonus points for:
- Experience working with OneSource (not mandatory).
