The Opportunities

The roles are based in North Sydney with our Corporate Legal team, where we offer a dynamic and supportive work environment in which your expertise can truly make an impact.

We are seeking 2 highly skilled Legal Counsel with a minimum of 3 years post-qualification experience. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in front end construction contract procurement and formation. The roles will require you to advise and assist our teams in the bidding for and closing of contracts for large scale projects. Following head contract award, you'll be called on to assist project teams with contractual issues that arise on projects in delivery. You'll be supported by lawyers and construction professionals highly experienced in their fields. You'll have the opportunity to grow your expertise in front end construction contract work and develop your skills in dealing with different types of construction project delivery models. You'll get valuable experience from working in various sectors of the construction industry that CPB operates in.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years PQE with a strong focus on front end construction contracts work.
  • In-depth understanding of the legal aspects of construction projects.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Admitted to practice as a solicitor.
