ROLE SUMMARY

Working with the VP, General Counsel of APAC and Senior Legal Counsel in Australia and New Zealand to provide legal advice, services and support across the business to ensure that Revantage and its clients meet all legal, regulatory and compliance requirements.

Primary Role

  • Providing high quality advice, services and support to Revantage ANZ and our clients on a wide variety of legal matters across Australia and New Zealand
  • Working with the APAC Legal team, the Senior Legal Counsel in Australia and New Zealand to create a culture of compliance within Revantage ANZ and its clients
  • Providing advice to the business on relevant/applicable laws including retail leasing, residential tenancies, FIRB, construction, privacy, WHS and other areas of property and commercial law
  • Providing legal training to employees and our clients
  • Developing and maintaining legal precedents, driving consistency and continuous improvement
  • Drafting, reviewing and negotiating works and consultancy contracts, service agreements and other general commercial contracts
  • Providing legal sign-off to facilitate documentation execution by Revantage ANZ and its clients
  • Co-ordinating the provision of legal services and advice to the business by external legal advisors on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Managing disputes, drafting letters of demand, representing our clients in tribunal hearings and mediations (in conjunction with external legal counsel) and providing recommendations for resolution and settlement
  • Assisting with the negotiation of lease and licence documentation across retail, residential, industrial and office assets
  • Assisting on asset disposals and settlement requirements
  • Assisting with property related legal due diligence on transactions
  • Assisting with special projects involving the Legal team

What You Bring To The Role

Required:

  • Up to 2 years PQE at a reputable law firm or in-house in property, commercial, litigation or another relevant practice area
  • Sound legal judgement combined with a strong business acumen
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and a focus on results
  • Able to operate under pressure and tight deadlines
  • Critical thinker and ability to solve practical problems
  • High level of customer centricity
  • Ability to initiate and direct collaborative efforts of multiple teams throughout the organisation, including internal resources, external resources and other constituent groups as appropriate with the aim of further company goals
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Docusign
  • Education:
    Bachelor's degree or higher in Law

Preferred:

  • Experience in in-house legal operations
  • Knowledge of Workday and Anaplan
