About The Role
This is a really broad role, in a fast growing tech start-up environment where you'll be overseeing and supporting the People &
Culture team of three to provide full employee lifecycle support to 150-200 staff. You'll work closely with the MD and Senior Executive team to ensure that we're building a company with strong leadership and a happy, high performing, and engaged team. With the pace of change at SKUTOPIA, this will be not be a 'cover &
copy' type of maternitycover but will provide an opportunity to be dynamic and impactful whilst in a temporary role - you will be responsible for driving our strategy forward, introducing new initiatives and re-prioritising based upon company needs.
In this role you will:
- End-to-end recruitment support for senior or niche positions across the business.
- Monthly payroll, quarterly superannuation and sponsorship visa processing.
- Improving HR &
recruitment data collection and monthly reporting dashboards. - Implementing policies, procedures, and systems - finding ways to automate and improve efficiency as the business grows.
- Promoting learning and development, and internal mobility by working with managers to ensure that their teams have opportunities to grow and progress.
- Managing ER and performance-related issues, ensuring that any issues are handled appropriately and risk is minimised.
- Championing our culture and engagement, including engagement surveys, finding ways to celebrate success, and running initiatives based on feedback.
- Implementing and running a remuneration review process, including salary banding and benchmarking roles.
- Providing advice and coaching support to the MD and Senior Leadership Team. Mentoring and developing the People &
Culture team.
We think you will need:
- You have at least a few years of experience in a broad Head of People and Culture role, ideally in a fast paced and rapidly scaling start-up environment, with exposure to complex ER matters and the full employee lifecycle.
- Ideally, formal HR qualifications and up to date employment law knowledge of the local Australian market.
- You're happy to be in a role with a huge amount of variety and know how to manage your time and prioritise your work.
- You know how to use data and understand the measures and metrics that we should be tracking to help make better decisions.
- You've got a commercial and collaborative approach and can work with the CEO to find the right balance between minimising risk and keeping the culture fun and agile and giving employees autonomy.
- You'll be comfortable taking the lead and owning things to proactively get them done.
