Job Description

Reporting to the Head of Finance your role will include;

  • Prepare statutory financial reports year-end for companies and trusts.
  • Manage the external audit process.
  • Prepare income tax reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly BAS Statements and FBT returns.
  • Prepare financial reports and income tax information for returns for overseas entities
  • Work with tax advisers both offshore and in Australia for income tax returns preparation.
  • Maintain and review monthly financial records of trading entities.
  • Manage accounts payable and invoicing system.
  • Perform balance sheet maintenance and reconciliations.
  • Undertake ad-hoc projects, including enhanced reporting and report simplification.
  • Assist with ad-hoc company secretarial matters.
  • Liaise with group entities for the preparation of statutory financial statements and income tax reconciliations.
  • Supervise accounts payable, bookkeeper, and data input tasks.
  • Handle accounts payable customers, resolving issues, and reviewing competitive costings.


The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate will ideally have spent some part of their career in a well regarded Accounting form where they have completed their CA or CPA qualification. Some of the specific skills will include:

  • Experience in preparing financial statements, including statutory reporting requirements of large proprietary companies.
  • Exposure to fringe benefits tax, GST, and BAS, and compliance on reporting requirements.
  • A willingness to work in a team based environment
  • Intermediate Excel skills (Understanding of all functions, Pivot tables etc)
