About the Role:

We are currently inviting applications for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance team based in Brisbane.
Reporting to the General Manager, Financial Performance and Analytics, you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent and accurate analysis of financial reporting, to inform business unit performance and decision-making. You will demonstrate strong leadership and a willingness to foster and embrace change as a strategic partner.
Other key focus areas of the role include:

  • Partnering with the business to manage and improve profitability across allocated business units, to influence decision-making and behavioural change;
  • Coordinating and maintaining the internal pricing of services;
  • With internal team support, preparing and monitoring individual business unit budgets, providing regular and accurate financial analysis and reporting including reporting of forecasts and targets;
  • Leading and supporting research, analysis and resolution of financial issues e.G., fee negotiations, product/client and supplier reviews, managing relationships with financial institutions;
  • Participating in feasibility analysis for strategic initiatives and projects i.E., product development, financial modelling, and scenario analysis;
  • Ensuring appropriate risk management and governance for all deliverables with responsibility for the Model Risk Governance Framework.
  • Actively improving financial thought leadership, contributing to financial papers and solutions that demonstrate understanding of all financial aspects;


About You:

You are a confident communicator who enjoys collaborating and maintaining positive professional relationships, with a proactive and strategic focus. With your strong leadership ability, you will role model adaptability and an eagerness to problem solve and innovate, to effectively service your clients.
Alongside your ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, you will present with:

  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Business or Commerce
  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Minimum 5 years' relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of management accounting processes, including budgeting, forecasting and costing methodologies
  • Previous experience in financial modelling and analysis
  • Varied exposure to accounting systems (ideally Oracle)


Experience in the Asset Management or Investment Banking industry will be highly regarded.
