Our Enterprise Architects for Data are part of the Enterprise Architecture Centre of Expertise within the Technology and Operations organisation. They are responsible for defining strategic data architecture for enterprise-wide Data and Analytics, collaborating to contribute to the definition of the Group-wide Enterprise Architecture and roadmaps to achieve the target state architecture. They work with Solution Architect colleagues to ensure that solution architectures and designs align with the target state architecture and transitional roadmaps. This role encompasses coverage for strategies and architectures for optimum enterprise-wide management of Data and Analytics, the optimum use of data within applications, and the data technologies across the Group.

What you'll do

• Prepare Group-level data architecture strategies, target state architectures, roadmaps, standards, and patterns, and work with Business and T&
  O teams to gain endorsement and guide implementation.
• Ensure solution architectures align with domain and group Enterprise Architecture through effective collaboration and adherence to the Solution Delivery Lifecycle.
• Provide a strategic perspective to the Group's architecture across all domains with a focus on data.
• Engage effectively with stakeholders at various levels, including EM, EGM, and CIO, providing clear documentation, presentations, explanations, influence, and guidance.
• Represent Enterprise Architecture at all levels of the business, be seen as a known subject matter expert that is valued and consulted.
• Attend data domain governance councils and forums to represent the Enterprise Data Services team, review and endorse data aspects of architecture and design submissions, and ensure that any architecturally significant changes are reflected in the Enterprise Architecture repository.
• Provide guidance and direction on data-related aspects for proposed business initiatives, produce architecture context definitions, and lead the defence/championing of solution architectures.
• Promote consistent architectural practices and deliverables across the group, lead process improvement initiatives, and contribute to the enhancement of the architectural approach within the domain and the wider architecture community

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline, or equivalent experience
• Minimum 10 years IT experience
• 5 years IT Architecture experience
• Strong communication abilities - both verbal and written
• Expert knowledge of Enterprise Architecture and Solution Architecture, focused on data
• Strong experience on data architecture across platforms, applications, modelling and governance
• Strong experience of producing data architecture for large scale programmes and governing through to implementation to deliver real business outcomes.
• Experience of data architecture within cloud computing
• Familiarity with ArchiMate and UML
• A consulting background is advantageous
