About the role
Our vision is to have a safe, efficient and productive heavy vehicle industry serving the needs of Australia. We are now seeking a Director of Prosecutions to join our team.
Reporting directly to the Executive Director Statutory Compliance, you will contribute your expertise to drive ethically based prosecution services nationally. With a dispersed team your remit will expand to culture, internal and external education, and the delivery of our prosecution's strategy.
This will be a positive, yet impressive program of work requiring exceptional strategic capability to balance diverse stakeholder groups and a broad remit of cases. To be successful in this role it's important that you:
- Have experience working with a geographically dispersed team.
- demonstrate people leadership and high-level engagement capability.
- have high-level knowledge of and experience in criminal law, practice and procedure.
- be admitted or are eligible for admission as a barrister or solicitor of the High Court or a Supreme Court of a State or Territory of Australia.
- are resilient, agile, and customer centric.
- are motivated to delivery positive industry outcomes through effective relationships with industry, the police and other regulatory agencies.
Ongoing travel will be a requirement of the role, and you will be supported by your peers, leaders and corporate teams.
