In our mission to stop men dying too young, we're seeking a passionate Director, Health Professional Education to join our Melbourne based team.

About the role

Are you passionate about transforming healthcare education to better serve men and boys? Movember is seeking a dynamic Director of Health Professional Education to lead the design and delivery of innovative men's health education products. This pivotal role will be at the forefront of Movember's Gender Responsive Healthcare initiatives, working closely with various stakeholders including healthcare practitioners, educational institutions, and government bodies to ensure our programs meet the unique needs of men and boys.

You will have the opportunity to work flexibly, blending your time between home and our Richmond office, with occasional interstate travel required.

You'll have the opportunity to

  • Implement and design Men in Mind programs for mental health and other health professionals.
  • Oversee the Men in Mind Implementation Plan, ensuring goals, funding, and evaluation are met.
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including health professional colleges, educational institutions, and governments.
  • Support and promote priority research related to Men in Mind, enhancing evidence for gender-responsive healthcare.
  • Oversee the development and evaluation of a national online men's health interdisciplinary education gateway.
  • Develop curriculum-based e-continuing professional development programs and multi-modal education resources for tertiary-level educators.
  • Establish and manage a community of practice portal.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to team members, fostering a collaborative and empowering environment.
  • Contribute to and support the development and implementation of Gender Responsive Healthcare policies.
  • Develop and manage program budgets, monitor financial performance, act as a public spokesperson, and report regularly on progress and impact.

For this role, you'll need

  • Post-graduate degree in health services or related discipline
  • 6+ years' experience in delivering health professional curriculum
  • Proven ability to deliver and influence outcomes as a business partner in an integrated cross-functional matrix organisation
  • A change agent mindset;
    comfortable with thinking outside the square, leading disruption and at a pace and challenging norms and traditional approaches
  • A genuine passion for men's health
