The Data Analytics Branch (DAB) within Policy, Partnerships and Programs Division is responsible for managing the ACT Health Directorate's reporting requirements to national data agencies and Australian governments. This includes activity data. The Policy, Partnerships and Programs Division manages the Directorate's relationships with the national data agencies. It also is responsible for developing and monitoring a health performance framework for the delivery of health services across the ACT.

The national submissions team is responsible for preparing and reporting public hospital activity data as per the national definitions. The DAB is looking for a director to lead this team and provide advice to senior executives. This role is required to work collaboratively across the ACT Health directorate, Health services and with key external stakeholders.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in leading national submissions. This role requires excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to manage competing priorities with limited supervision, a demonstrated strong work ethic, and the willingness to exercise initiative in a complex and dynamic work environment.

This is a technical role where the Director will be responsible for leading the national submissions, engaging with stakeholders from health services to ensure that the submissions are prepared &
submitted as per the guidelines from Commonwealth agencies.

Eligibility/Other Requirements:
Prior experience of over 12 months in preparing national submissions is highly desirable.

Notes:
This is a temporary position available until 30 June 2025. An order of merit will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future identical vacancies over the next 12 months.
