Details:
We are seeking to fill various Director roles across the Planning and Urban Policy Division. These roles will be working in a multi-disciplinary environment and may include:

• policy development and administration of the Territory Plan;
  and/or
• development and delivery of strategic planning and urban design policies, projects, and programs to facilitate land use and built form that is well planned, sustainable, and responsive to the strategic directions set by the ACT Government;
  and/or
• development and delivery of building policy and reform projects that contribute to improving the ACT's building regulatory system and building quality.
• leading and managing staff.

Eligibility/other requirements:

Highly Desirable

• Tertiary qualifications and/or relevant industry/professional experience in strategic land use planning, town/urban planning, urban policy, architecture, landscape architecture, urban design, environmental planning, building regulation and policy, unit titles or other related professional area.
• Holds a relevant planning qualification, or workplace experience which would be eligible for membership with the Planning Institute of Australia.

Note:
There are several temporary positions available immediately up to 12 months with possibility of permanency.

Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is located in a workplace designated for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers will not have a designated workstation/desk.

A merit pool will be established from this selection process and may be used to fill future vacancies over the next 12 months.

The ACT Government offers flexible working arrangements including working from home where appropriate.
