The Role

The firm is currently seeking an experienced Credit Officer to join our busy Finance team in the Melbourne CBD on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting to the National Credit Manager, your primary objectives will be to efficiently manage an outstanding debtor portfolio, while maintaining and developing client relationships, both internally and externally.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Collections of overdue accounts &
    manage a large portfolio of debtors
  • Answering telephone queries and providing credit related customer service
  • Managing &
    Liaising with external Debt Recovery Agencies on our debtor portfolio
  • Reviewing unidentified Bank Deposits &
    Trust Account reconciliations &
    Statements
  • Sending Reminder Statements and Final Notices
  • Monitor and action of the Collections / Accounts inbox
  • Process Credit Card payments
  • Updating client details on all returned Statement of Accounts
  • Processing of mail
  • Credit checks
  • End of month reporting
  • Ad-hoc support to the finance team

Who We Are Looking For

The successful applicant will reliable, enthusiastic and possess excellent customer service skills, very good attention to detail along with strong written and verbal communication skills, and be familiar with the Microsoft suite of products. We are seeking someone with previous Collections / Credit experience in a law firm or Banking &
Finance Collections.
