Snowy Hydro is a dynamic, integrated energy business that has been providing on-demand, reliable energy to Australia for generations. Snowy Hydro owns and operates a powerful combination of generation assets, including the mighty Snowy Mountains Scheme, gas and diesel plants, and contracted wind and solar energy. We also provide electricity and gas to about 1 million retail customers through our retail brands Red Energy and Lumo Energy. Snowy 2.0 is Australia's largest committed renewable energy project. This nation-building project will provide on-demand energy and large-scale storage for many generations to come.
The role:
Our growing Legal team is seeking a Corporate Lawyer to join the Infrastructure and Assets team which advises on all legal aspects of Snowy Hydro's major projects, land and environment, safety, employment and procurement activities. This is a Sydney based role reporting to the Deputy General Counsel - Infrastructure and Assets.
We're looking for someone with:
A Bachelor of Law qualification and current practicing certificate
Minimum 6 years post qualification experience in private practice or in-house
Demonstrated ability to provide strategic, timely, high quality legal advice in at least one of the following areas:
Safety and employment;
Property, planning and environment;
The ability to work independently, effectively manage competing priorities and maintain effective working relationships with others inside and outside the legal team to achieve results and contribute to a positive and productive workplace culture.
