Reporting into the Branch General Manager, the role will be responsible for overseeing all the risk management of the Bank and be the main point of contact for regulatory communication.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the risk appetite framework and tolerance process including enhancements to the structure of appetite statements and measurement of risk exposures.
  • Develop, enhance and deliver risk management reporting for senior management.
  • Lead the creation and ongoing maintenance of risk policies, escalation processes, risk-related delegated authorities while working closely with Head Office.
  • Manage the risk frameworks, policies and coordinate changes to the risk entity structure, risk taxonomies, risk indicators and enterprise-wide summary risk documentation.
  • Play a leading role in maintaining a sustainable culture of risk awareness, which is consistent with their core values.
  • Develop the strategy for GRC system and drive its consistent implementation across the enterprise and lead the team responsible for its development.

Key Requirements

  • In depth knowledge, experience and leadership of global best practice risk management frameworks, methodologies, and emerging practice.
  • 15+ years in a risk role/function, ideally in corporate or institutional banking.
  • Prior experience dealing with regulators is highly desirable.
  • A strong track record in leadership, which sets a clear vision, and motivates teams to delivery.
  • A proven strategic thinker and leader, with experiences in the development, collaboration and communication of well considered, robust strategies within a large, complex and global environment.
  • A global and progressive mind-set, which can clearly support the transformation of the Risk and Compliance function, also including experience in the deployment of leading risk management frameworks and practices in a multi-national context.
  • Experience working with Boards of listed, multi-national companies.
