About the organisation
The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation is the fundraising arm of the Royal Children's Hospital (RCH), which has provided outstanding care to Victoria's children and their families for over 150 years. The Foundation raises, manages and distributes funds to enable the hospital to provide the best care to patients and their families, supporting it in achieving its vision for a world in which all children thrive. The Foundation exists to ensure that the hospital is supported now and, into the future, to transform healthcare for children and young people through the generous support of the community.

About the role
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a broad executive leadership role responsible for the strategic oversight and operational management of the Foundation's finance, investment management, property management, IT services, procurement, grant management, legal and commercial operations. The CFO provides strategic counsel to the CEO, Board and Executive and manages a diverse range of stakeholders including the hospital, campus partners, external advisers and committees. The role is responsible for administering a growing investment portfolio and two philanthropic trusts, collaborating on commercial operations and ensuring good governance, compliance and risk management practices including cyber security. Supporting fundraising efforts through expert financial leadership, budgeting, business planning, performance analysis and reporting, it requires a hands-on approach to developing the team and continuous improvement of systems and processes. The CFO champions people &
culture best practice and ensures the successful implementation of strategies to advance the Foundation's mission.

About you
A qualified CA/CPA and strategic finance executive, ideally with a wealth of experience gained within a fundraising or relevant for-purpose environment, you bring a depth of finance and investment management experience, a breadth of hands-on corporate services experience and a strong focus on risk &
governance. You are a credible and service-focussed stakeholder manager and skilled people leader, who enjoys mentoring teams and excels in relationship building, negotiations and continuous improvement. With a good breadth of financial and operational management experience, you have advised Boards and committees, with demonstrated commercial acumen and exceptional analytical skills. Your diplomacy and discretion in handling sensitive information are exemplary and your pan-organisational approach key to driving success.
