Worship Ministry Director

Seeking a part-time (2 days/week) Worship Ministry Director to lead and oversee its worship ministry. The worship ministry director is responsible to lead and oversee the worship ministry of Whitehill Church. This will be achieved by equipping and training Whitehill's creative teams for effective and inspiring times of Gospel-centred worship

Whitehill is an established, contemporary, multi-generational church with the vision to Love God, Love People and Follow Jesus. The Church is located in Ipswich, Queensland, and has a core congregation of approximately 450 people. The worship ministry director is responsible to lead and oversee the worship ministry of Whitehill Church. This will be achieved by equipping and training Whitehill's creative teams for effective and inspiring times of Gospel-centred worship.

The nature of the role's responsibilities means that it is essential that the person is someone with an active Christian faith, committed to the Whitehill community and has a passion for seeing people devoted to the worship of God.

Position Responsibilities:

General Staff Duties

• Attend and contribute to all relevant leadership team meetings, service planning meetings and prayer meetings.
• Contribute to planning and execution of Whitehill's services and events as required.
• Be engaged in any leadership training and conferences as made by available the Lead Pastor

Worship Ministry

• Appoint and empower leaders to co-ordinate and lead various worship teams.
• Recruit and train new volunteers to serve on the worship and tech teams.
• Inspire and encourage worship ministry volunteers to effectively utilise and develop their musical gifts.
• Utilise technology to create an excellent worship experience during Sunday services (ProPresenter, Ableton etc.).
• Utilise Elvanto to plan roster volunteers and contribute to service planning.
• Manage Whitehill's online service through YouTube Studio.
• Lead weekly worship team rehearsals.
• Oversee the maintenance, purchasing, and replacement of sound and musical equipment (in consultation with LP).
• Oversee the selection and introduction of new music that is in line with Whitehill's vision and theological beliefs.

Key Competencies:

• Gifted in ministering in worship
• Experienced musician with skills in one or multiple instruments, vocals, music theory and music technology
• Willingness to build Gospel-centred relationships
• Ability to create, innovate and implement ministry strategies
• Team builder, leader and player

Remuneration and other conditions are generally according to Churches of Christ Qld guidelines.
