About the Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join us as an Advanced Trainee within the Department of Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology.

The successful applicant will be eligible to enter Neurology or relevant subspecialty Advanced Training programme with a view to gaining Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.

During training the successful applicant will participate in:

  • The provision of clinical Neurology and Diagnostic Neurophysiology services to in-patients and out-patients of the WCHN, under appropriate supervision.
  • Contribute to Professional Development and Clinical Practice initiatives within the Department of Neurology and Diagnostic Neurophysiology and WCHN.
  • Contribute to Research activities within the within the Department of Neurology and Diagnostic Neurophysiology and WCHN.
  • Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate medical and allied professions education within the Department of Neurology and Diagnostic Neurophysiology and WCHN.

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-months allocation to Advanced Trainee Neurology &
Clinical Neurophysiology will be determined in line with your training and SA Health's requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Bachelor of Medicine;
    Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent.
  • Registrable with the Medical Board of Australia as a Medical Practitioner.
