Responsibilities:

• Establish, maintain, and implement effective business processes for the Defence Stores area.
• Oversee the dispatch and delivery of Safehand, Unclassified (routine), and Dangerous Goods.
• Manage storage, stocktaking, loans, and maintain asset registers.
• Assist with stock/asset rotations and maintenance.
• Provide support for the disposal of obsolete or redundant items.
• Assist the HAZCHEM Safety Advisor (HCSA) in monitoring and managing potential hazardous materials.
• Maintain Safety Data Sheet (SDS) registers.
• Interpret, implement, and maintain Work Health Safety policies and legislation for the area.
• Assist JC2SPO with the transition from MILIS to ERP.
• Provide regular status reports on warehouse operations.

Ideal Candidate:

• The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in warehouse and inventory management, particularly within a Defence environment.
• They should possess excellent organizational skills, be detail-oriented, and have experience managing hazardous materials.
• The candidate should also have a comprehensive understanding of Work Health Safety policies and be able to manage transitions effectively.
• Proven experience in warehouse management.
• Knowledge of Defence Stores processes and procedures.
• Familiarity with freight distribution and hazardous material management.
• Strong asset and inventory management skills.
• Ability to interpret and implement Work Health Safety policies.
• Experience with MILIS and ERP systems is highly desirable.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• NV1 Security Clearance.
