We have an exciting opportunity for a Profit Protection Business Partner to support our stores in Western Autralia across two iconic Australian retailers:
Kmart and Target. In this role, you'll collaborate with State, Regional, and Store teams to foster development, provide coaching, and offer support to maximize EBIT through the implementation of Profit Protection strategies and programs.

What you'll be doing

As a Profit Protection Business Partner working for Kmart Group, you will:

  • Drive focus, provide leadership, and set the direction for shrinkage reduction efforts across the entire business
  • Ensure seamless integration of compliance into all business practices, leveraging weekly/monthly shrinkage data to uncover emerging trends
  • Conduct comprehensive analysis of audits, health checks, and records related to loss, shrinkage, compliance issues, and other areas of profit erosion. Communicate findings effectively and offer actionable solutions to relevant stakeholders.
  • Engage, influence, and offer support to key stakeholders in order to mitigate causes of shrinkage and profit erosion.
  • Foster education and development initiatives for Regional and store teams, enhancing their understanding and awareness of compliance standards.
  • Proactively engage with pertinent stakeholders to address issues and establish preventive measures, drawing on data, investigations, and critical incidents to make informed recommendations.

To be successful in this role you'll have:

  • A sound understanding of large-scale retail operations, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a loss prevention role.
  • Proficiency in identifying and addressing current and emerging profit protection threats, alongside effective mitigation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders, both internal and external.
  • Aptitude for developing projects, policies, programs, and systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Experience conducting internal investigations at an intermediate level.
  • An analytical mindset coupled with keen attention to detail.
  • A proven track record of fostering strong working relationships to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Consistent delivery of sound reasoning and high-quality decision-making.
