Visual Inspection Coordination Officer

We are hiring for Visual Inspection Coordination officer in our manufacturing Broadmeadows site. Reporting to Senior Manager, Visual Inspection you will be responsible to coordinate and facilitate the activities of production (including scheduling and inventory management), maintenance (facility, equipment and process), validation and small capital projects enabling execution of the operational plan.

The Visual Inspection Coordination Officer role will partner closely with the Operations Manager and Operations Supervisor(s) in an 'enabling' capacity, such that operations efficiently and reliably deliver product with the right quality, at the right cost of goods, in the correct quantity (yield) and timing (DIFOT).

This is a permanent opportunity. It will be a rotating shift between morning (6:
39-14:
30) and afternoon (14:
09-22:
00). There could be occasional overtime work so flexibility is required across the team.

The Role:

• Facilitate the delivery of scheduled activities are consistently met on time and highlight to all stakeholders as early as possible if there is any risk of the schedule not being met.
• Facilitate and enable completion of production activities so the production schedule of activities is met in a cost efficient and consistent manner. Ensure that agreed and scheduled time points are met consistently and notify the Manager/Supervisor(s) as early as possible if there is any risk of the schedule not being met.
• Ensure that all manufacturing environments operate according to the principles of cGMP as required by relevant regulatory agencies and standards.
• Maintain adequate in-process inventory, completing SAP transactions/work orders as reported to require replenishing by operators/senior operators/supervisors.
• Ensure that preventative maintenance activities are planned and executed in accordance with established HS&
  E and quality procedures.
• Coordinate and report on preventative activities and assigned small process and facility improvement projects.
• Attend daily team and visual management meetings to provide information and updates on specific activities which impact the manufacturing schedule.
• Provide reports, KPIs and communications as directed by the Manufacturing Area Manager.
• Support other operational improvement initiatives assigned by the Manufacturing Area Manager.

To be successful:

• Tertiary qualification in science/engineering or related discipline
• Experience in a similar manufacturing role (or Operator role) in the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology or Food industry.
• Ability to work independently on assigned work while helping as part of the operations team.
• Good ability to build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders and customers.
• Demonstrated problem solving and negotiation skills
