Gruyere Gold Mine, a Gold Fields, and Gold Road Resources Joint Venture (50/50) is located in the Yamarna Greenstone Belt in Western Australia. Gruyere was commissioned in 2019 and is one of Australia's largest and lowest cost gold mining operations boasting a plant production of 300,000+ ounces per annum with an enviable production profile of 10 years.

Reporting to the General Manager, we are currently seeking a Manager:
Technical Services to lead the Mine Technical Services Team located at Gruyere Gold Mine.

You will be responsible for supporting the mine operating plan, securing, and improving the future of mining operations, through the development and provision of technical and planning standards. This role will provide direction to achieve an optimal mine production profile by combining planning and production processes.

We are looking for a visible leader who will support a healthy workplace, drive a high-performance culture, and support the delivery of safe production. You will play a critical role in delivering the Department's KPIs and business plan, aligned with the company's strategic goals and objectives. A key to the success of this role will be working as 'One Team' working closely with Mine Operations, Geology, Maintenance, Processing, and the wider Site Leadership Team.

With a generous remuneration and reward package, this role is offered as 4 days on 3 days off or a variation thereof and is available Fly in Fly out from Perth.

About the role:

Provide input into the annual budget planning cycle and on-going forecasts to support the achievement of site strategic plan objectives and ensure that mining related issues are considered and communicated to appropriate parties.

Support Mining Operations to deliver the Business plan, by leading Medium &
Long-Term planning, Geotechnical, Survey and Infrastructure functions.

Assist with the delivery of mine modernisation projects to improve safety and productivity.

Manage the development and maintenance of mining systems, including documenting practices, and standardising procedures, to ensure professional application of all mine design and planning principles.

Liaise and consult with the GFA Technical department on site Strategic and Life of Mine planning, Resource &
Reserve reporting, and regional SMEs.

About you:

Bachelor's degree in mining engineering at a minimum

Extensive operational experience, preferably gold industry, with a successful track record in a similar role within large scale open pit mining preferred

Highly developed knowledge of Mining Standards

Exposure to different mining methods will be highly regarded.

Team orientated with a background in change management be an advantage.
