We are currently looking for a Technical Services Manager to lead the Technical Services team and build a lucrative career in the mining industry and secure a role with our western based operation - Clarence Colliery.

Reporting to the Mine Manager, your role will be responsible for

  • Managing the Mine Safety Management System and compliance for the relevant principal hazards associated with the Technical Services portfolio
  • Developing holistic and value efficient Life of Mine / business plans
  • Ensuring focus on operational readiness and planning execution to deliver high quality standards of operations and performance against plan
  • Leading the Technical Services team to build robust, fit for purpose technical plans that integrate seamlessly with operational functions and deliver successful outcomes

Suitable candidates will have

  • Tertiary qualifications in Mining Engineering or a similar discipline
  • Additional Technical, Management or Underground Coal Mine Statutory Qualifications may be advantageous
  • Extensive experience in underground mining, preferably within multiple sites/roles
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a leadership role in an underground coal mining environment
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead teams to successfully achieve complex tasks and functional targets
  • Solid experience implementing 'best practise' into Mine Planning activities
  • Strong communication and people skills and the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Excellent work ethic and positive attitude towards team leadership
  • Strong understanding of NSW Coal Mines regulatory environment
