The Technical Delivery Manager is responsible for leading and managing project activities that deliver technology solutions, enabling Westpac to achieve its strategic goals, business benefits and outcomes.

Your key accountabilities will include:

  • Providing ongoing Technology Project Management mentoring and coaching support to assist implementation of Projects, work closely with project sponsors, product/platform managers, and other relevant team members to increase knowledge and elevate performance through one-on-one coaching
  • Leading technology delivery across Enterprise systems :
    Digital ,Customer originations, Digital, Staff Assisted,Product Originations, Data platform, Group Customer Maser, Financial crime systems
  • Reviewing project proposals or plans to determine time frames, funding, procedures for accomplishing projects, staffing requirements, and allotment of available departmental resources to various phases of each project
  • Releasing Management - Lead the implementation activities span cross multiple applications and business divisions
  • Recommending and overseeing process improvements

What do I need?

You will be an experienced IT Project Manager, preferably in banking &
financial services, andhave a strong understanding of the overall project lifecycle and be able to lead, design, build, test and implement phases. You will have agile delivery experience and a good understanding of applications landscape in a complex organisation. In addition, you will also have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in technology project delivery preferably in a consultancy
  • Skills in IT project management, vendor management and release management
  • Good understanding of Project Finance Tracking
  • The ability to take a leading role and to think outside the square
  • You will have excellent communication and negotiation skills to work with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to prioritise and plan
  • Exposure and experience with different types of technical environments and platforms
  • Complexity:
