The role

We currently have a fantastic opportunity 3 month contract (potential to renew) for a proactive solution and people orientated Lead Technical Consultant to join our SD team in Sydney. Reporting to the Service Delivery Director. This is a customer facing position providing technical consultancy and support (both onsite and remote). Are you a knowledgeable Technical Consultant who can provide technical support, perform trouble shooting, able to resolve customer issues, broad knowledge of cloud products and applications with the ability to assist and advise customers of the best customised solutions.   • Providing technical consultancy to our customers
  • Broad technical knowledge and experience with a disciplined and best practice approach
  • Understand our customer business requirements and how to use technology to reach these strategic business goals
  • Ability to liaise and explain complex solutions to stakeholders and vendors (including C level executives)
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office 365 and Azure environments
  • Experience in a Lead Engineer role
  • Demonstrable technical ability in the following disciplines:
    server virtualization and storage, networking and security, email systems
  • Working knowledge of SharePoint

What you will be doing:

  • Consult with customers on best IT applications and solutions
  • Ability to develop IT strategies and action plans
  • Consult on customer presales requirements (establish requirements and recommend best practices and software applications solutions)
  • Evaluate and take necessary corrective action regarding unresolved issues, concerns and problems raised by stakeholders
  • Ability to propose and implement solutions to remediate the root cause of major issues
  • Ensuring changes are documented, reviewed and implemented in such a way as to minimise risk to our clients' business operations
  • Ensure own contribution to work team serves as a role model for others and enhances the organisations image for all stakeholders
  • Develop processes to ensure that issues, concerns and problems identified by customers and team members are recognised and addressed
  • Partner with solution architects to design superior solutions.
  • Manage a consultant project team

Skills &
Experience

This role requires the following Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications (e.G. Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Management, Business, Engineering)
  • Microsoft Certified:
    O365, MCSE, Active Directory, Azure Administrator &
    Fundamentals
  • Experience with Azure Security Configuration &
    AWS Cloud
  • Scripting languages:
    PowerShell
  • ITIL certification

This role requires the following Competencies, Skills and Experience:

  • A "

  • Experience and working knowledge of ITSM concepts
  • Exposure to complex IT environments
  • Strong customer service skills and flexibility to work in a dynamic environment
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the IT industry

    well under pressure while handling multiple tasks and tight timelines
  • Strong analytical, decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Australian residency, citizenship or a valid working visa

Desirable/advantageous qualifications and operating system knowledge:

  • Microsoft Office:
    Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, Exchange 2003/2010/2013, Office 365, File &
    Print, IIS, Terminal Services, SQL, ISA / TMG, System Center
  • Azure solutions architect certified and AWS Certified Solutions Architect
