They are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Tax Director to join the team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of tax compliance for their clients. You will play a critical role in ensuring that their business clients meet their tax obligations while optimising their financial strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the tax compliance function for all clients, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.
  • Develop and implement tax strategies to optimise client financial performance.
  • Provide expert advice on tax-related matters to clients and internal teams.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations, ensuring clients are informed and compliant.
  • Review tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
  • Liaise with the ATO on behalf of clients, managing audits and inquiries.
  • Conduct thorough tax risk assessments and implement effective mitigation strategies.
  • Mentor and develop your team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence.
  • Develop and execute relationship management strategies to maintain strong client connections.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A master's degree or professional certification (e.G., CA, CPA, CTA) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive experience in tax compliance, preferably within a professional services environment
  • Strong knowledge of local tax laws and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven leadership and team management abilities.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
