Sydney South & Southwest Operations Support Lead

About the role
This role is responsible for leading a region-based Operations Support team including quality improvement, senior clinicians, and resident admissions with the aim of building the capability and capacity across the regional operations team. It involves driving the implementation and management of associated frameworks and practices as well as specializing in auditing, accreditation, complaints, and incident management. This position is for the Sydney South West Region.
Your main responsibilities will include:
Work closely with the Head of Department to translate business and strategic objectives into targets, tactical plans, and action steps which team members can effectively implement.
Take responsibility for ensuring that team members have the necessary resources and capability to deliver high quality work. Regularly assesses team member performance, sets objectives, and establishes active development plans.
Provide consistent and visible leadership in WH&
S behaviours and actionswithin the team and department and ensure there is a safe working environment, and that staff are properly trained to be able to work in a safe manner.
Contribute to the development and evaluation of changes and improvements to the services provided by the department/team
What we’re looking for
Bachelor qualification and relevant professional registration
This is a management role typically requiring five (5) or more years’ experience, including two or more years’ experience supervising a small team of specialists. You will have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be organised, systematic, thorough, accurate and disciplined.
