Boeing Phantom Works - Global (PW-G) is seeking a candidate for the role of Software Engineer to join the Sustainable Aviation team based in Brisbane.

You will work within an interdisciplinary group of software engineers and aerospace engineers to develop a software offering that serves internal, Government, and Sustainable Commercial Aviation customers. This work includes working tightly with the Cascade team in Seattle, picking up cutting edge sustainable aviation concept models, wrapping them in software engineering brilliance and offering via the Boeing Cascade Climate Impact Model

Working in the role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Leverage Python software development skills as well as associated toolings for test, quality, performance and reliability
  • Use working knowledge of another language skillset (e.G. web, C++)
  • Experience software development, support, integration and test
  • Work in an Agile environment. Our teams execute within sprints using the Scrum framework.
  • Comprehend software concepts in both written and verbal formats from management as well as the technical team
  • You'll do important work to help the aviation industry find viable pathways to net-zero carbon emissions.
  • Work within a people and culture first team that are highly passionate about sustainable aviation and are focused on delivering new capability to our customers

A minimum of 3 years' experience within software engineering teams is required for the role. We would also highly value prior experience in sustainable aviation however this is not a mandatory requirement. In addition to the tasks described above, you will be required to work collaboratively within the larger Boeing Phantom Works Global Team.
