This is anew exciting opportunity to be a Strategic Advisor to the StateCourts Administrator, with a particular focus on the Courtscontributions to the Royal Commission into Domestic, Family andSexual Violence.
About theOrganisation:
- TheCourts Administration Authority (CAA) provides participatingCourts and court users with services and facilities thatsupport the proper administration of justice on behalf of thepeople of South Australia.
It isindependent of the legislative and executive arms of governmentand is the means by which the judiciary of the State controlsthe administration of courts through which judicial power isexercised. - TheState Courts Administrator's (SCA) office is responsiblefor providing strategic leadership and operational oversight ofthe CAA. This includes setting and executing the CAA'svision and goals, making critical decisions and drivinginnovation and growth.
- TheSCA's office liaises with key stakeholders, including theAttorney-General's Department, SA Police, Department for HumanServices and external partners ensuring transparentcommunication and strong relationships.
Throughadherence to regulatory and ethical standards, the SCA'soffice ensures the CAA's sustainable growth and long-termsuccess.
SpecialConditions:
- Thisis a long term contract for 12 months with a possibility ofextension.
- Appointment is underthe Courts Administration Act 1993. Terms andConditions of employment are governed by the Public SectorAct 2009.
- Appointment isdependent upon a National Police Certificate that the CAA findssatisfactory.
- As ajustice agency, the CAA may receive details of spentconvictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and usethis information in the selection process.
- May berequired to work outside of the normal hours of work andundertake intrastate travel which may necessitate overnightabsences.
- Appointee may berequired to disclose their COVID-19 vaccinationstatus.
Requirements:
- Tertiaryqualifications in a relevant subject area, such as law, legalstudies, or
- Ability to understandand interpret data and use it to inform and supportpresentations, reports, or proposals.
Remuneration:
Appointmentwill be made at either the ASO7 or ASO8 level:
ASO7(salary range $106,512 to $115,137)
ASO8 (salary range$119,317 to $123,822)
