The Role &
Responsibilities

As Store Manager, you will be responsible for effectively and efficiently running a HFM market, delivering a shopping experience that is more market than supermarket. You will lead, build, and manage a team of between 60-140 Harris Farmers. Your goal is reconnecting customers with the joys of great fresh food showcasing amazing fresh food. Shopping with HFM should be fun and not a chore.

• Coach others in our company values. Develop initiatives to embed our culture and values in your area group.
• Oversee the prompt and effective delivery of marketing initiatives, specials and seasonal displays that engage customers, Willy Wonka it!
• Regularly communicate with buying teams on product quality, volumes and competitor pricing.
• Use your initiative to deliver solutions that provide an exceptional customer experience.Do the unexpected to delight our customers.
• Coach others in being exceptional in customer service including when dealing with complaints, effective response to supporting customers if injured in the store and generally providing a great experience for our customers.
• Communicate well, listen, and share information such as a clear vision and strategy for the team.
• Coach and empower your people.
• Create an inclusive environment, demonstrate authentic concern for the success and well-being of your teams to build loyalty.
• Take the productivity of your employees seriously and give them the tools to be productive, keeping the number of processes to a minimum.
• Effectively, efficiently, and compliantly manage grievances, underperformance and people related matters.

Required skills, knowledge and expected behaviours

• Certificate IV in Retail Management or similar would be advantageous.
• Team player, open mindset and willing to learn and test new ideas.
• Has previous experience of running a similar business to a Harris Farm Market and has a passion and in-depth knowledge of fresh food, particular fruit and veg.
• Full drivers licence required
